As suggested by some of you I got a new version of vogl from the ftp-site asterix.inescn.pt (Portugal). (vogl.arj in /pub/PC/devel , to unpack with unarj.exe). The package has the libraries libhersh.a and vogl.a already in it. I compiled only the examples after I disabled the line : while (qread(&val) != REDRAW) which is in each of the example files. As I was told, this line is now longer up to date. Together with changing to a driver (tseng4kn.grd or trid89n.grd) that suits my card better, I have now very nice sample programs. Double buffering etc. works excellent. The vogl.arj package has the fonts already with it. I have one little problem with it. Very few fonts (for example "times.r") cause the programs that load it to complain : cannot read font such and such. Though the program fdisp.exe (for displaying the fonts) can display these few fonts. The other fonts work very good. Thanks again to the people who helped me to get this run so quickly !
