You sure have done a lot for us all already! Agreed, DJ has done a lot. I beleive the problem here is (1) we have mor or less agreed that people who are satisfied with the way things are should not be screwed up by the switch-over if it can be avoided. (Eg, my site recently dropped the gnu.* hierarchy! Grrrrr.) and (2) besides DJ himself, the Clarkson people are seriously overworked, and coordinating the gatewaying and creating of a new group is going to take a good chunk of somebody's day or week (we all know that the Clarkson listserv is about as reliable technology as the typical multi-service munitions---no flame intended, but being realistic). It *is* non-trivial. I've seen some reasonably intelligent people make serious fools of themselves recently by trying to go it alone creating Internet information resources.... --Steve
