That should be ok. I believe I have the same setting because other software wants it enabled. Perhaps you haven't given it enough DPMI memory? Do you have it working under DOS? How does it fail under os/2? Can you run go32 with no arguments? I suggest using the real-mode gcc; the protected mode version consumes some resource, and after about 14 runs in a window, it crashes the window, and maybe takes os/2 down with it.
