Hi djgpp_users, I am new to djgpp and got the following files for the first time: 1. bnu22bn.zip 2. djdev111.zip 3. djdoc111.zip 4. djeoe111.zip 5. gas211bn.zip 6. gcc257bn.zip 7. gpp257.zip 8. objc257.zip 9. txi210bn.zip and 1. readme.1st 2. readme When I installed these on my pc (486DX2, 66MHz), I was told that the file "go32.exe" is not found. So I got version 1.11 from some stanford site. When I ran the "tryit.bat" program (and "testit.bat"), "go32.exe" ran and told me how much expanded memory and swap space I had available. Then "gcc.exe" ran and told me the following: "go32 version 1.11 Copyright (C) 1993 DJ Delorie Error: This program requires a version of go32 (1.11.maint1) newer than this one." What does it mean by "newer" ? I thought that 1.11 is the latest one. Can some one tell me how I can fix this problem (or get a newer copy of go32.exe ? Also on "omnigate.clarkson.edu", in the "pub/msdos/djgpp" directory, I found a subdirectory "1.10" and another file "1.11_is_on_Simtel". What is Simtel? Is it a site/subdirectory/server ?? How do I access all 1.11 compatible soft- ware? I am not at all familiar with this software/setup and will appreciate any advice mailed to "vdalvi AT mcd DOT intel DOT com" thanks in advance, Vishram ----------------------------- vdalvi AT mcd DOT intel DOT com
