He advised me to forward it to the group. Please respond also to my individual e-mail (I am not listening to the group right now). - Yigal =============== Hello DJ, - Background I would like to port a socket based application to DOS. Specifically the SNMP manager of CMU. I have ported it to SCO unix (it required some small modification but basically it was Unix). At home I'd like to run on my DOS machine. - Specific questions 1. Do you know anybody who compiled a Unix (Berkeley or similar) socket library or part of it for DOS using dgjpp ? Is it publicly available ? 2. If the answer to (1) is positive, what driver is used to communicate with the Ethernet adaptor? Is it NDIS, packect-driver or something else ? 3. What about other applications like ftp, telnet (that requires tcp). Has anybody you know of did any work in this area ? If you can provide me some hooks, connection, or information on the topic above it would be very helpful. Thank you in advance, - Yigal
