    Has anyone adapted the readline lib for the PC?
      Yesterday I managed to compile it, after some
      struggling, with the emacs keymap. I'm not
      quite sure of the stability of the result.


    And the dld library?

      In fact what I'm trying to build is Octave,
    which uses both.

    [Octave is a Matlab clone, an interactive program
     for Numerical Analysis, by John W. Eaton,
     from Texas Univ.  This excelent package is
     available at  ftp.che.utexas.edu]
