DJGPP 1.11 compiles files (in this case, GhostScript 2.6.1) at about the rate that Small-C compiled lines. (Well, maybe 20% of the rate, but same order of magnitude.) Of course, I'm now running a 50MHz 486DX with a SCSI disk hanging off an AMI caching SCSI controller with a 4MB cache :-) --Steve
