This isn't really the place for the discussion of pseudo-random
numbers, but FYI an excellent more recent source with a good
bibliography is the "Handbook (I think that's the title) of Operations
Research".  Sorry I can't be more exact on that title, I was browsing
through it while waiting for a colleague to get off the phone :-)
