I got the same message 6 times yesterday. I suspect that djgpp and djgpp-announce are now both entered on each other's circulation lists, and so the same messages to (add each to the other) are being (obeyed and sent back) back and forth in an endless loop like some of the network worms described in the computer virus email circular called Virus-L, thus re-adding them to each other as soon as the operator has deleted them from each other. It would be useful to alter the (server's program that obeys 'add' messages) so that one list's name can't be entered on another by remote users. ------- Forwarded Message Follows ------- Date: Thu, 23 Sep 93 16:17:12 +0200 From: kuku AT acds DOT physik DOT rwth-aachen DOT de (Christoph Kukulies) To: djgpp AT sun DOT soe DOT clarkson DOT edu Subject: listserv running berzerq I'm afraid we are facing a mail storm ahead. Something gets echoed back to the listserver and is accumulating threateningly. --Chris ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- Christoph P. U.
