Beg pardon, but can someone mail me about what the output
of these programs should be?

For Escape, I get dropped into graphics mode, and lots of patterns of
white dots fill the screen.  Hard to explain.

I'm not even sure what grtask is trying to show.  But it does go into
graphics mode (finally!  Thanks to everyone who has helped!).
