I've included the x headers (obviously) and linked in the DesqViewX Xlib.a (or was the name similar but slightly different?). DesqViewX is installed and working fine with its built-in applications. I created a button in DesqViewX for my X windows application, and it goes away and runs for a few seconds without anything appearing. I use no X functions higher than Xlib, and can find no differences in my makefiles etc. from the stuff in the DesqView X demos (Xeyes etc.). Have I missed a vital piece of documentation? Can anybody tell me which of the button setup parameters need to be changed from the defaults? I noted a reference to a library libsys.a in the context of DesqViewX; is this the missing vital link? Can anybody summarise what's in which library? Any help greatly appreciated. Mike Wynne-Jones, mikewj AT signal DOT dra DOT hmg DOT gb.
