I have become a convert to Linux and have not used djgpp for some time now. Linux uses an FPU emulator which I have written. This emulator emulates an 80486 FPU and is much more complete than the emulators which are currently available for djgpp. I have finally made a port of the Linux emulator to djgpp. At this stage I would like a few volunteers to test the emulator. I have done some very basic tests and one other djgpp user has so far tested it. It is probably significantly(?) slower than my older emulator (although still faster than djemu), but more capable and much better debugged (apart from the djgpp interface). Unlike with my older emulator, I do intend making the source for this emulator available. Indeed the majority of the source is identical to that for the Linux emulator and the source for Linux is available from many ftp sites, bulletin boards, cdrom, etc. My current thoughts are that the djgpp sources will contain only the differences from the Linux sources. I have done all of the compiling and linking of the emulator under Linux, using the standard Linux tools, and there may be difficulties in trying to compile it under ms-dos. If you would like to volunteer to be a tester, please reply to me directly by email. --Bill
