The Borland, "No-Nonsense License Statement" (the 1990 version -- I believe that this is the one that came with Turbo C++ 1.0), contains the following clause: "Also, you may not use a Turbo Language product to create, give away, sell, license, or otherwise distribute a competitive compiler or interpreter or to substantially duplicate in appearance, functionality, or design a Turbo Language development system or feature or portion of it (e.g., the DOS extender system)." End of discussion. If people want to say, "But what if ...", go right ahead, but I'm going to ignore it. -- Darryl Okahata Internet: darrylo AT sr DOT hp DOT com DISCLAIMER: this message is the author's personal opinion and does not constitute the support, opinion or policy of Hewlett-Packard or of the little green men that have been following him all day.
