My current VGA board (AST SVGA) does not support 256(+) colors and since I need 256 colors in my current project I am looking for an upgrade. The PC I'm using is EISA based (AST Premium 486/33E) and it is my experience that (this) EISA computer(s) realy work best if used with EISA cards (at least it needs a *.cfg file so I can configure the boards). The only 2 EISA boards I have found are the ATI ULTRA PRO+ and a S-3 based board (about half the price of the ATI). The question is which should I go for when I'm planning to use it with DJGPP (and the grx library)? Are there at all drivers for the Mach32 prosessor? Or can I use some kind of Vesa driver? In case both the board should work, which is the best? (For general use with Windows and so on...) -- \\___// | | Hallvard Paulsen, MSc |_____| Research Engineer / Grad.
