Subject: anyone recompiled DEMACS?

I'd like to bring DEMACS up to a more recent version and was wondering
if anyone has had any success attempting to recompile it with DJ GCC?
If so, what version of GCC did you use? Any tips?

Also, has anyone tried recompiling with the latest GCC with DPMI support?
Am I correct in understanding that the latest version of DEMACS will
not run under Windows even as a DOS app because windows has no
DPMI 1.0 support?

Are either of these mailing lists archived anywhere?
