It's my first experience with real-time hard drive compression and has been a very good one so far. I never had the nerve to compress my drive before, but trying out a bunch of emacs ports has pushed me to it. :) BTW, I still intend to post a nice summary of emacs/tex/xdvi ports to MSDOS and MSDOS/DVX. I appreciate anyone who responded to my post and encourage others too. School work has gotten heavy and it will still be a while before I can post my results.
