Regarding FSF documentations, they are mostly in texinfo format.
Texinfo formated document can be converted into dvi file (by using
tex or emtex) and into info files, which can be read online.
You do NOT have to use demacs to read info files. In fact, there is 
a dos program  "info" on oak.okland.edu to read info files online.
This program is very small, about 10K. I recommend to everyone even if
those of you have demacs. Personally, I do not want to print these
500 page manuals. I read  most of these GNU docs online.  You can
find info.exe in ~pub/msdos/gnuish AT oak DOT oakland DOT edu. If there is
enough interest, I can put info formated (not texinfo formated) gcc,
g++lib documentations for anonymous ftp.

   PLEASE! PLEASE! PLEASE! PLEASE! PLEASE!......

   I have been dedicatedly trying to learn this stuff for weeks without docs, 
   all because I have too much *real* (sigh) work to do to worry about learning
   TeX, I don`t have a PS printer, and even if both of those things weren't
   the case, I don't have the DISK SPACE (10meg+) for *another* program. 

   I understand that TeX is great stuff, I understand that it does everything
   you could want a text formatter to do -- But please understand that some
   of us our here just do not physically have the time, money or inclination
   to use it - We NEED ASCII!

   I'm not trying to be offensive, but some how about considering us users?
