I'm using DJGPP for a long time and it's one of the compilers that produces the fastest code on my PC. Also, as I do lots of ray-tracing using my programs compiled with gcc, I need all the speed-up that is possible. I have also tried gcc 2.3.3 and it seems slower that gcc 2.2.2!!! The same ray tracing program test with gcc 2.2.2 and gcc 2.3.3 reported gcc 2.3.3 version to be 105% the time of gcc 2.2.2 version!!! Shouldn't gcc 2.3.3 generate faster code? I use -finline... -O2, basically. I was a little disappointed by the results. Does anybody have any comment? Regards, Antonio. .........................................................................
