It turned out to be the locks placed too liberally on djgpp files by the DRDOS6 (and presumably MSDOS5) SHARE command which I need for task switching in a non-djgpp environment. Now I turn off share (SHARE /X) before djgpp'ing and djgpp works fine with all that I've tried to do. I have another question for those that have tried to either get djgpp stuff to run under dpmi.9 (windows) OR have libraries in Pharlap form for which no sources are reasonably available (in my case the HOOPS graphics libraries which have been compiled by Metaware HighC.) Namely, is there a way to produce objects or libraries from djgpp that can be further processed by Pharlap (by intervening at whatever level, say or because djgpp has a REX capability that I haven't noticed) OR by approaching it the other way around: a way to get objects from HighC to get linked up with objects from djgpp by djgpp and to hell with Windows. ?
