Subject: Re: GNU awk and hobbes To: desms AT hosv1 DOT att DOT com, djgpp AT sun DOT soe DOT clarkson DOT edu (DJ's GPP mailing list) Date: Sun, 28 Feb 93 11:29:06 EST From: Stephen Turnbull Thanks for help with finding the OS/2 archive site. ftp-os2 is, of course, hobbes after all. The problem I was experiencing was due to the fact that hobbes's ftp server sends a lot of junk that DesqView/X's File Manager can't deal with. FTP Software's PC/TCP implementation of ftp works fine (except that you can't pipe ASCII text into more, so I can't read the first 75% of the directory listings---Grrrr; that's why I use File Manager in the first place!) So I've got Rommel's version now. I did get the port to work. It was pretty trivial. I haven't done the regression testing. You really need sh to do that using "make test". I'll let you know once I've done the tests. -- Stephen Turnbull The Ohio State University, Department of Economics 410 Arps Hall, 1945 N.
