Adobe works fine. It is possible to use Adobe fonts instead of what the program asks for according to the DV/X manual. I haven't had a use for it, so I don't know how to do it. select() works fine. Unfortunately, at the moment using a socket as if it were a file does not (according to David Ronis, who knows a lot more about it than I do). DJGPP definitely can be used to build DV/X apps.
