The DJGPP port of the SUIT library is still in:

  uvacs.cs.virginia.edu:/incoming/guest/suitgo32.zip    
             (DOS compatible files)
                    - or -
  uvacs.cs.virginia.edu:/incoming/guest/go32.tar.Z      
             (the DJGPP port but UNIX format files and file names)

It is there because the SUIT developers told me to upload my changes to
the 'incoming' directory of their archive site. They were quite excited 
about a usable DOS port (the BORLAND C version is anything but usable 
because of memory limitations) and said they would incorporate my changes 
into the distribution. The only problem is that this happened LAST AUGUST 
and I haven't heard anything from them since then. This is the reason I 
decided around last November to announce the availability of my port "as 
is" from their 'incoming' directory. 

It seems that I am not the only person who had similar experiences 
with the SUIT group at UVA. There is also a contributed Apollo port in the 
'incoming' directory, almost a year old, and it still did not make it into 
the 'official' release. Additionally, there was some recent noise on the 
'linux' newsgroup about SUIT -- basically with the same conclusions.

As far as the SUIT docs go, get one of the 'official' workstation '.tar.Z' 
files. I think any of these contains a more recent documentation than the 
DJGPP-specific archive in the 'incoming' directory. The documentation is 
the only thing which seems to have changed in the SUIT distribution in the 
last nine months!

NOTE: if you think on using SUIT on an X workstation, you may still want 
to recompile the sources from the DJGPP archive. Beside the DJGPP/GRX 
specific additions these sources also contain a couple of bug fixes 
and performance optimizations.
