To: djgpp AT sun DOT soe DOT clarkson DOT EDU I failed to use gcc16 (real mode) that supplied in djgpp/gcc package (2.2.2). When I issue "gcc16 myprog.c", I got the following error message: (I renamed the real-mode gcc.exe to gcc16.exe.) GCC16.EXE: specs file malformed after 377 characters What is the problem? And what is gcc16? (My understanding is that gcc16 is a real-mode front end for gcc compiler generating 32-bit codes, thus can compile source programs under real-mode-only system operation, say dos (v86) window under windows3. Am I right?) Thanks in advance. Regards, Wonkoo Kim EE, U. of Pittsburgh wkim AT vms DOT cis DOT pitt DOT edu
