Is DJGPP suitable for 32-bit development that will NOT run under any kind of DOS extender? Specifically I am wanting to tinker around with writing an OS for a [34]86 in protected mode, and I am wondering if DJGPP would be a usable way to do this. The alternative I would consider is just to do all the work from LINUX instead of DOS, but since I already use DOS for various things it might save me time to use DJGPP under DOS.
