Subject: GNU C/C++ compiler problem under DOS

Even the simplest program requires cc1 to compile it, and cc1 is a
*large* program.  If you don't have much memory, it will page a lot
and take a lot of time.  I recommend at least 1M of free extended or
expanded memory.  I personally have 4Mb free.
