Doing this required fixing a few bugs in libc.a, and implementing some functions that were not previously implemented. I'm going to post the changes to libc.a over the next few days, in the hopes that it will help others and eventually get included into the standard DJGPP distribution. Compiling these programs also required patching a few of the FSF source files, but the patches were minimal (mostly text vs. binary issues). If you're interested in the patches or a copy of the binaries, let me know. The combination of fileutils 3.2, textutils 1.3, and shellutils 1.6 gives the following fairly impressive list of unix programs for your DOS machine: basename.exe dir.exe ll.exe printf.exe test.exe cat.exe dirname.exe logname.exe rm.exe touch.exe chmod.exe du.exe ls.exe rmdir.exe tr.exe cmp.exe env.exe mkdir.exe sleep.exe tty.exe comm.exe expand.exe mv.exe sort.exe unexpand.exe cp.exe expr.exe nl.exe split.exe uniq.exe csplit.exe fold.exe paste.exe sum.exe vdir.exe cut.exe head.exe pathchk.exe tac.exe wc.exe date.exe id.exe pr.exe tail.exe whoami.exe dd.exe install.exe printenv.exe tee.exe yes.exe df.exe join.exe -- Eric Backus ericb%hplsla AT hplabs DOT hp DOT com (206) 335-2495
