I know this has been going around for a while and noone seems to know what
is causing it.

I ran into this problem yesterday and am convinced it has something to do
with screen IO and go32. I have the go32 environment variable set to ansi.
When I compiled and ran my program with some debuginng output compiled in
the program aborted with exception 14, but when I recompiled it without
debugging the program ran to completion. I also noticed that by changing
the go32 variable I could effect how quickly the program aborted.

If anyone has any insights into this problem, I think everyone affected would
appreciate it very much.
