Can we still use the new lib.a files from gcc 2.01 with gcc 1.39...(forget this question?) but we can use djgpp 1.06 with any gnu stuff as long as the gnu stuff all matches (or is all of the gnu stuff upward and downward compatible?) I personally have not had any problems with gcc 2.01 and don't plan on it (?) but if I start running low on space and my make files (the programs actually) keep growing at the rate they are I might wish to switch back to the faster (yet less effecient?) gcc 1.?? either way I want to keep the changes of djgpp (extender) like being able to open 255 files, can anyone tell me what was added/changed in the stdlib's that might have, if any, effect on go32/debug32? thanks ================================================================================ Thank you, || "Sol est invisiblis in hominibus, in terra vero Michael Thomas || visibilis, tamen ex uno et eodem sole sunt ambo" (..uunet!ckgp!thomas) || -- Theatrum Chemicum (Ursel, 1602) ================================================================================
