Recently on BIX there was some discussion about DPMI vs. VCPI. There
has also been the rumor that WIN 3.1 allows programs to run in VCPI mode.

Part of this discussion was also the criticism that when an OS lets run
programs in VCPI mode (ring 0) there is little protection between the
program and the OS.

Given go32 is going to become an OS someday would it be wise to stay with
VCPI or would it be better to think of changing the strategy under which
user programs are run.
