I havn't used Bash 2.04 since the last BAsh 2.05 update fixed all of the known problems, 8-Oct-2001. Below is a summary of the emails I have previously sent to the djgpp-workers newsgroup since starting to work on getting DJPP working on 2KXP (taken from email archive) that are still relevant (I may have missed some):- 1) BASH 2.04 duplicated files that are included in CVS LIBC:- > I am currently testing a hacked Bash 2.04 to remove the duplicate files that > are included in LIBC (and have been updated). I use the work hacked in teh > literal sense delte the files and mod the makefiles, mod opentmp.c to get a > working Bash exe. I should know in about anotehr 30 mins if it is good > enough to put up on the web site for people to use on Win 2K. > > I removed the following files from the lib\dos directory: > _dup.c > _dup2.c > dup.c > dup2.c > pipe.c > tminit.c > dosexec.c Some of these files may need to be changed. 2) Read seems to NOT wait for a CR before exiting the read function with 2.04. Bash read function does not work and as such I cannot rebuild Perl with 2.04 I found this when builing Perl. All the other packages built okay. Andrew
