In order to build Tex I need to re-build Flex. I have re-built flex 2.5.4, but then checked to see if all of the exe's were built and found the following symlink files were not created (these are in the v2gnu\flx254b.zip file on simtel) : Archive: t:/v2gnu/flx254b.zip Length Date Time Name -------- ---- ---- ---- 2048 20-04-00 02:03 bin/flexpp.exe 2048 20-04-00 02:03 bin/flexx.exe -------- ------- 205824 3 files How were these created? My guess was they were done by hand. Are they needed if the original flex does not have support for them? Further Info: ========= I greped for all references ti flexpp and didn't find any in the flex src directory as indicated here: DJGPP_204 D:\dj204\gnu\flex-2.5-4>grep flexpp ...\*.* main.c: or "flexpp" instead. Avoid confusion due to the .exe suffix. */ Notes: ==== By the way there is a Flex 2.5.4a release, but the differences can be summarised into three catagories and the outcome is that the 2.5.4 that is available for DJGPP is up to date. The three catagories are: 1) Change to license block in alot of the files 2) Additional files for DJGPP build 3) Modifications for DJGPP build Regards, Andrew
