A small patch to my script is needed to get configure/autoconf to run right.
It should be:
  sed -e 's/config\.h\.in/config.h-in/g' \
      -e 's/HEADER(config\.h)/HEADER(config.h:config.h-in)/g' \
       $f > ${SCRTMPFIL} &&
instead of:
  sed -e 's/config\.h\.in/config.h-in/g' $f > ${SCRTMPFIL} &&
