My opinion is that we issue a warning message, like "Flushing an input 
stream causes undefined behaviour.\n". Perhaps with the addition "see 
www.delorie.com/some_file_with_the_explanation_perhaps_the_FAQ..."

But I'm not strongly opposed to what-ever we decide upon, what-ever that
will be.
