I think some editing og djgpp.env (or setting additional environment variables) will still be necessary. For example, directories such as %DJDIR%/contrib/include/grx20 need to be put on C_INCLUDE_PATH. Also, some libraries might need to be shared between different versions of the compiler. It's true that the amount of hacking is much less, which is why I think the new scheme is better.
