(Btw, what happens if such > a stand-alone executable is run under Windows?) It should run just fine. I haven't tested it lately, but it should behave pretty much like the standard stub under Windows. Make sure you distribute PMODE 1.1 (from riceng) and not PMODE 1.0. The only drawback I can think of you might see in using PMODE instead of CWSDPMI would be on a very low memory available machine (ie 1Mb 386) in which PMODE wouldn't run at all and CWSDPMI will. I'm not sure how much memory UNZIP needs. It would also be nice to get some real hard testing in on PMODE/DJ - I get the feeling it hasn't been used alot yet. > * Make csdpmiNb.zip be a self-extracting archive. I actually used to distribute the very, very early alphas that way. Another alternative would be some unreleased code I have which uses the pmode stub and links it with some hacked cwsdpmi modules to make a standlone cwsdpmi stub (around 22K in size). But I would need to finish this and release it, and I've been very busy lately.
