I'd like to announce the availability of a port of popt to DJGPP. popt is a flexible command-line argument parsing library. It's like getopt, but much more powerful. It is used in the Linux package manager 'rpm'. The port is available from the DJGPP archive: ftp://ftp.simtel.net/pub/simtelnet/gnu/djgpp/v2tk/popt12b.zip ftp://ftp.simtel.net/pub/simtelnet/gnu/djgpp/v2tk/popt12s.zip An extract from a Linux development book is included, which explains how to use popt. popt is being used in the zippo package manager for DJGPP. If you have any problems, suggestions, questions regarding the DJGPP port of popt, please feel free to mail me. Thanks, bye, -- Richard Dawe [ mailto:richdawe AT bigfoot DOT com | http://www.bigfoot.com/~richdawe/ ]
