Autoexec.bat has the line SET DJGPP=C:\DJGPP\DJGPP.ENV I have two problems: 1] If I try to create a file [hello.c] on the a: drive, I get a message "invalid file name". If I create the file in C:\djgpp\bin, it compiles and runs. 2] The mouse is not recognized. My instincts are that I need a line in autoexec.bat If that is so, what should it be? Thanks in advance Ethan =============== Thank you for your answer to question#1. It works. I had the path statement, but at the end. When I put it in the suggested order C:\DJGPP\BIN;%PATH% it worked Let's try question #2: 2] The mouse is not recognized. My instincts are that I need a line in autoexec.bat If that is so, what should it be? Thanks in advance. Ethan
