To allow rebuilding on non-LFN systems, LFN were shortened in the archives. But this was not done perfectly (humans were involved). Some renaming may be required to be done by hand. Welcome to the world of LFN problems. BTW I'm also a W95 user. You may want to recompile the original gnu gcc distribution. But be warned this is not trivial and by default does not work on W95 unless you make some changes. If I have time, I'll make my changes public.
