I'm going to drag out my old 4 GB disk with NT 4.0 SP6a and temporarily convert my Linux box back to NT. Just in case that you don't recall, I could only reproduce the Python hang problem reliably under NT 4.0. Can you give us another day or two -- I believe that we are real close now?
