I don't see any reason to change what's already established. The problem is, that we're trying to uncouple the release of the cygwin DLL from the release of various components. So, naming a directory cygwin-1.1.0 would be misleading. I plan on releasing the DLL on a much much much more frequent basis once this new procedure is in place. As I understand it from DJ, this is similar to the way DJGPP works. Since that's a proven successful model, I would like to give it a try. cgf
