Then, I remembered other discussions which said that the initial use of the installer would be for new installs so, if that is the case then no it isn't too severe. I foresee that those who are already using and familiar with Cygwin will be downloading individual packages and not the whole. This means more anonymous logons as people choose more than one package at a time.
