From: cgf AT bbc DOT com (Christopher Faylor) Subject: YA console scrolling patch 19 Feb 1998 12:46:18 -0800 Message-ID: Reply-To: cgf AT bbc DOT com To: cygwin32-developers AT cygnus DOT com I changed the line in the patch below a while ago but I've been noticing strange behavior on my console windows ever since. I think that it was a bad idea (tm) for me to have changed the the end of buffer test from a '<' to an '<=' because it seems to result in double spacing when the scroll buffer fills up and a line is displayed at the end of the buffer. patch from cgf AT bbc DOT com (Christopher Faylor) * console.cc (fhandler_console::write_normal): Don't scroll screen if cursor is on the bottom of the console window buffer. Scrolling seems to happen automatically in that scenario. begin 664 console_scroll_fix.gz M'XL(```````"`[U0P5*#,!0\PU>LEPX AT J82I-J!][`U)6!13 M=L65-*H12\XQU-+T[1GC!D'P:[NSZ04>Q`XT0ARG=)6NUJ!)PEQ"R$\OYTF4 M1'?HY=MTC%V'C"68 ME"[@`'4%;R^Z?,AWM2ST",_WYPK`>VV4SK6P-L<0D7_K7N`3DW1$EL'H>]5U M=EN+!4;<9:AEI98VTTQ/?N=X^?8&#->J:7)[""'A1:&UW*@6EZ`A"`T_?K!# 9G&IVEFEQ[X'LG?Q9H'_*\PIHAV&"B0(``')[ ` end -- http://www.bbc.com/ cgf AT bbc DOT com "Strange how unreal VMS=>UNIX Solutions Boston Business Computing the real can be."
