It can optionally, and with a bit of tweaking, be built against cygwin1.dll. In the future this willg et easier. The downloadable setup.exe will always be a mingw application. How does a user would be able to install cygwin with setup.exe for the first time if setup.exe depends on cygwin1.dll ? Ralf
