There is absolutely no interference, it's 100% safe to install pcb-rnd 
together with geda/pcb, kicad, etc.

quick steps:

svn checkout svn://repo.hu/pcb-rnd/trunk pcb-rnd/trunk
cd pcb-rnd/trunk
./configure
make
make install

The last step, make install, is optional; you can run it from source, 
without installation, for a test ride:

cd src
./pcb-rnd USUAL_ARGUMENTS_HERE
