Hello:

question with the linear VESA mode: I understand that to do linear
mapping you need VESA 2.0? or is VESA 1.2 sufficient? I have a Cirrus
5428 card which seems perfectly happy doing linear mapping (at the 78MB
boundary) but since it's a fairly old card I'm not sure if it is VESA 1.2
or 2.0.... (not likely this).

note though that this linear mapping I'm talking about is using the
XF86_SVGA Xserver for Linux... what I want to know is if I can do the
same thing under DOS even with my fairly old card.

thanks,

Orly
