Hi,
I was messing about with redir last night and I can't make it perform
as I expected.

redir -e -o x prog

lead to stdout being in x but stderr being lost

redir -o -e x prog

lead to the reverse. So far so good, this isn't necessarily the most
convenient behaviour but it does make sense, however:

redir -eo -o x prog

lead to stdout being lost

and

redir -oe -e x prog had the same effect.

It's all a bit odd 'cos I'm almost sure it was working the other day.

Is this a FAQ ? Am I doing somehting stupid/wrong ? Is my setup damaged or
is this a problem in redir ?

	Badders
