 Not amazingly far. I've got everything to play sound loaded into GUS RAM, and
a scaning the memory onboard the GUS along with the base port from the
environment. 

 What I have to do now is poke the data into GUS RAM before I can play. Then
you can set the volume, balance of a peticular channel.

 I'ld post my code (after I add a few comments :), but I'ld much rather
get a more complete set (DMA and the whole shabang).
