I'm currently using NDmake, and it's possible to use a file as argument list,
but the file must be built before, and anyway the command invoked inside the
makefile must support the '@' response file, which is a DOS standard.
It seems to me that using this facility depends on the command invoked, not on
'make' itself, unless you are speaking about an automatic procedure which writes
a list of objects inside a temporary file and passes it to the related command,
e.g.:
gcc $(myobjs) --> gcc @something
I have used GNU make and NDmake, and I consider the latter more 'unix-like', on
simple makefiles ( IMHO! ).
