Hi,

it isn't necessary to write a converter for the GNU texinfo files to
the info files which can be read by an info browser, this work already
has been done by Eberhard Mattes, the author of EMX/GCC, the DOS & OS/2
port of GCC 2.3.3 .

In the EMX package there's a program called 'makeinfo' included, which
translates the texinfo sources to info files (*.inf), also an info
browser, called 'info.exe'.

Included texinfo sources are: GCC, GDB, TEXINFO, CPP, GPP lib, IOSTREAM etc.

The only thing we need is an info browser and a translator compiled under
DJGPP, to run under a non-EMX environment.

regards...
              ...Matthias
