NetHack 3.3.1 for Agenda

Update (Aug-21-2002): A new build for 1.2.x rootdisks as well as a custom rootdisk based on the AgendaComputing.de 1.2.6 rootdisk are now available on the download page. I haven't ported NetHack 3.4.0 yet, but am considering creating a FLTK frontend for that version.

This is a port of the awesome, free game NetHack to the Agenda VR3 Linux-based PDA. If you are not familiar with NetHack, check out the link above and try it first on the PC (it will be easier to get the hang of that way.

For those familiar with the game, this is a port of the TTY version of the game, which is launched in its own terminal window via a script. The direction buttons on the Agenda are remapped to movement keys in the game, and the right shift key allows you to repeat the previous action.

There is a downside to installing NetHack on your VR3 however: size. The game and data files wight in at a whopping 2.3 Megs. This is after compiling with optimization and stripping the binary, too. For this reason, I also provide a custom rootdisk based on the 1.1.1S rootdisk which has the game pre-installed.
